
The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun, Osun State, and celebrated world-class neurosurgeon, Prof. Wale Sulaiman, CON, has been appointed Assistant Editor of the Neurotrauma Section of Neurosurgery Practice, a journal published by Neurosurgery publications.
The appointment letter states: On behalf of Neurosurgery Publications, I am writing to invite you to join the Editorial Review Board of Neurosurgery Practice as an Assistant Editor for the Neurotrauma section. You have distinguished yourself as an important member of our profession, and so it is with great honor that I extend this invitation to participate in our peer-review process. The initial term will run from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2028. Any subsequent terms will be three years.
Neurosurgery Practice is a fully open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality scientific articles both clinical and experimental, across neurosurgical subspecialties. Indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals, Scopus, and PubMed Central (PMC), the journal achieved its first impact factor in 2025, marking a significant milestone in global neurosurgical research dissemination.
As Assistant Editor, Prof. Sulaiman will be responsible for reviewing academic research, funded protocols, large case series, and systematic reviews that contribute to advancing the practice of neurosurgery worldwide. His appointment underscores his global recognition as a Canadian-American trained neurosurgeon with extensive expertise in neurotrauma, spine, and global health leadership.
