A new executive council has emerged in Owerri Club, the premier sports and recreation club in South East.
In a transparent and open process under the Electoral Committee headed by Akajiugo Chidi Anyaso the following were returned elected:
1. Ezinwa Onyebuchi Obinwa – Chairman
2. Chief Okey Dike – Vice Chairman
3. Ik Ogbonna – Secretary
4. Obinna Ibeh – Asst Secretary
5. Chief Emma Ebili – Grill Secretary
6. Dr. Jude Ohanele – Maintenance Secretary
6. Dr Francis Nnolim – Ordinary Member
7. Dr. Shah Azu Okorie – Treasurer
They were immediately sworn-in by a Chief Margistrate and notary public.
In his handover speech, Sir Bon Unachukwu urged the new management to continue the trajectory of development his regime started.
In his acceptance speech, Ezinwa Onyebuchi Obinwa appreciated members of the club for finding him and his exco worthy of leading the club assuring that the club is in safe hands.
