
Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, representing Kwara North Senatorial District, yesterday on the floor of the Senate, again lent his voice in support of the motion raised by his colleague, Senator Lola Ashiru (Kwara South), drawing national attention to the insecurity challenges in Kwara South Senatorial District following recent attacks in Ifelodun LGA.
While commending the efforts of both the Federal and State Governments, as well as security agencies working tirelessly to protect lives and property in the State, Senator Sadiq reiterated that his people in Kwara North are also badly affected and emphasized the need for more proactive and coordinated action to bring lasting relief to the people.
He particularly urged security agencies to be more responsive and be open about gaps that need Legislative support to be filled for the fight against insecurity to be won in the interest of the People and safety of our Communities.
