The Senator representing Kwara North Senatorial District, Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, joined the multitude of Nigerian leaders and stakeholders who gathered on Saturday in Oke-Onigbin, Isin Local Government Area, to pay their final respects to the late Elder Statesman, His Excellency, Chief Cornelius Olatunji Adebayo.
9japarrot report that Senator Umar, who serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committees on Trade & Investment and Rules & Business, was present alongside Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON), top government functionaries, traditional rulers, and other dignitaries for the funeral service and interment.
The solemn occasion was described by the Senator’s media team as a moment of reflection on the impactful life and remarkable contributions of the late leader to Kwara State and Nigeria at large.
Senator Umar extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and the people of Kwara State over the passing of the distinguished Senator, former Minister, and former Governor.
