The Federal Polytechnic Bida (FPB) recently hosted a working visit by members of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Board of Trustees (BOT), who inspected and commissioned several completed and ongoing projects funded by the intervention agency.
In a statement obtained by 9japarrot media, the visiting TETFund team, led by the North Central Zone representative, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi, assessed various projects and gave the management of FPB a clean bill of health, describing the executed works as “money well spent.”
The projects inspected and officially commissioned include:
* The Shea Butter Works Building.
* The Rehabilitation of the Polytechnic Entrepreneurship Centre.
* The Mass Communication Departmental Staff Office Complex.
* The Academic Staff Office Complex.
Engr. Adeyemi singled out the institution’s facilities under the Directorate of Entrepreneurship Education & Development (DEED) for special commendation. He described the upgraded facilities at DEED, along with the Shea Butter Works Building, and the general Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) focus, as excellent models for other institutions across the country.
“Going round the various projects, it is clear to all of us that the resources were used judiciously,” Engr. Adeyemi stated.
“I want to particularly single out the DEED, almost all the units now have modern facilities. On behalf of TETFund, we say well done.” the statement added.
The TETFund BOT’s visit acknowledges the FPB management’s commitment to utilizing intervention funds effectively to improve academic infrastructure and promote entrepreneurship among its students.
