Otunba Ajiboye Debunks Rumours of Wale Edun’s Illness

The Executive Secretary/CEO, National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Otunba Biodun Ajiboye, has debunked the widespread rumour regarding the health status of Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun.

In a statement issued through his Media Team in Abuja on Wednesday, Otunba Ajiboye described the rumor on Wale Edun’s health as false, unfortunate and a deliberate attempt to malign his personality by detractors.

He refuted the claims, saying the rumors that the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun has been terribly sick and flown abroad or had a stroke attack in recent weeks are entirely untrue.

“I have it on personal authority as I had a conversation with him. I am equally aware that he had about 10 mins discussion with the President recently. It is therefore my confirmed opinion that he would be back in the office shortly as he has been attending to files right from his bed rest. I ask the purveyors of such satanic news that can a paralyzed man attend to files? Nigerians now Know better that some news sources are dubious and should be disrespected and discountenanced”.

While confirming that it is only natural for Mr. Wale Edun to be a bit stressed from his ever-demanding job, which is normal for a workaholic personality like Mr. Edun, Otunba Ajiboye challenged the carriers of the romour who he said are unhappy with Mr. Edun’s policies and determination to transform the nation’s financial sector to desist from such.
