S.O. Foundation Launches New Scholarship Phase for 100 Indigent Students in Ilorin South

The S.O. Foundation, chaired by Kwara-born philanthropist Alhaji Rilwan Sulyman Olawale, has commenced the second phase of its scholarship program, targeting indigent students in Ilorin South Local Government Area.

This phase of the S.O.F Scholarship will benefit 100 less privileged students actively enrolled in public schools in Ilorin South, supporting their educational pursuit in key transitional classes.

Alhaji Olawale stated that the second phase specifically targets JSS1 and SS1 students new entrants into junior and senior secondary schools who have been identified as “elite students” from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

This follows the successful first phase, implemented in September, which provided financial assistance to over 700 JSS2 and SS2 indigent students across public schools in the state capital.

The Chairman emphasized that the S.O. Foundation’s educational initiative aligns with and supports the Renewal Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Kwara State Government’s efforts, led by Governor Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (CON), to reform the education sector.

Olawale stressed the foundation’s commitment to community support, stating that improving the standard of education is a vital step toward societal growth, guided by the mantra, “education today means the betterment of tomorrow.”

9japarrot report that the S.O.F Scholarship Program is a clear demonstration of the foundation’s dedication to empowering less privileged students and promoting comprehensive educational development across Kwara State.

The founder concluded by expressing gratitude to all stakeholders for their continuous support, reaffirming the foundation’s mission to make a tangible difference in the lives of indigent students.
