138th Canton Fair: NACCIMA PRO Appears on Chinese TV, Advocates Stronger Nigeria-China Collaborations

The spotlight of international media turned toward Nigeria this week as China Global Television Network (CGTN)—the country’s national television—featured the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) in an exclusive interview, highlighting its growing role in strengthening Nigeria–China business relations.

Leading the conversation was Hajia Medinat Oladotun, NACCIMA’s dynamic National Public Relations Officer, whose exceptional representation underscored the association’s leadership and visibility on the global trade stage.

Speaking on the NACCIMA Business Forum and Nigeria’s active participation at the 138th Canton Fair, the world’s largest trade fair, Hajia Medinat eloquently presented NACCIMA’s vision for deeper economic collaboration, innovation exchange, and mutual growth between the two nations.

She described the Canton Fair as an “irreplaceable global bridge” that continues to connect China with the world, offering boundless opportunities for trade expansion and investment partnerships.

In response to questions on digital trade and sustainability—two of China’s current focus areas—Hajia Medinat emphasized that Nigeria, as one of Africa’s largest digital economies, is ready to explore technological collaborations, e-commerce development, and smart industrial solutions with China to fast-track digital transformation back home.

She also highlighted the strong foundation of Nigeria–China cooperation in infrastructure and industrialization, expressing optimism for the next phase of partnership centered on green growth, manufacturing, and supply chain integration.

On the broader Belt and Road Initiative and China–Africa Cooperation Forum (FOCAC), she identified new opportunities for Nigerian enterprises in exports, logistics, and cross-sector investment, aligning with NACCIMA’s mission to connect Nigerian businesses to global markets.

The feature on China’s national television not only affirms NACCIMA’s growing international influence, but also celebrates the Office of the National PRO for its strategic communication, global engagement, and media diplomacy—bringing Nigeria’s business community to the forefront of global attention.

Through these efforts, NACCIMA continues to build bridges, expand horizons, and take giant strides in promoting Nigeria’s economic interests and trade competitiveness on the world stage.
