Senator Sadiq Greets Senator Yahaya Oloriegbe At 65

 

Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar (3SU), representing Kwara North Senatorial District, extends warm felicitations to his friend, brother, and former colleague in the 9th National Assembly, Senator (Dr.) Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe, Chairman of the Governing Council, National Health Insurance Authority of Nigeria (NHIAN), on the joyous occasion of his 65th birthday anniversary.

Senator Sadiq described Senator Oloriegbe as a man of intellect, compassion, and integrity whose professional and legislative footprints have greatly advanced public health and good governance in Nigeria.

He noted that Senator Oloriegbe’s remarkable contributions to the nation’s health sector from his distinguished career as a medical doctor and public health advocate to his impactful service as Chairman, Senate Committee on Health in the 9th Assembly continue to inspire respect and admiration within and beyond Kwara State.

Senator Sadiq further acknowledged Senator Oloriegbe’s visionary role in championing the National Health Insurance Authority Act, which made health insurance mandatory and established the Vulnerable Group Fund, describing it as one of the most transformative achievements in Nigeria’s healthcare policy history.

He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for recognizing Senator Oloriegbe’s exceptional service to the nation through his appointment as Chairman of the Governing Council of the NHIAN, a position befitting of his vast experience and commitment to strengthening the country’s health systems.

Sen. Sadiq prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health, and renewed strength for Senator Oloriegbe as he celebrates this milestone, while urging him to keep serving humanity with humility and excellence.
