65th Birthday: Oloriegbe Appreciates Well-Wishers, Renews Commitment to Service of Humanity

Former Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District and current Chairman of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) Governing Council, Senator (Dr.) Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe, has expressed profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Vice President, Sen. Kashim Shettima, GCON, the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, CFR, and an array of well-wishers who extended warm felicitations to him on the occasion of his 65th birthday.

In a personally signed statement, Senator Oloriegbe described the overwhelming show of affection, prayers, and goodwill messages as both humbling and inspiring. He noted that the celebration offered him an opportunity for deep reflection on his life’s journey — one defined by divine grace, service, and unwavering commitment to humanity.

“I am profoundly grateful to Almighty Allah for the gift of life and the opportunity to continue serving humanity through various positions. The outpouring of love, prayers, and kind words from across the country has been truly touching. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, our revered father, Alh. Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR and all who found time to reach out to me or offer prayers on this occasion,” he said.

The former lawmaker also appreciated past and present members of the National Assembly from Kwara and beyond, the Speaker and Members of the Kwara State House of Assembly, cabinet members, Local Government Chairmen, Heads of Federal agencies and parastatals, Federal Board Members, and political allies across party lines, for their solidarity and goodwill. He extended special thanks to community development associations, religious leaders, professional colleagues, constituents and family members who have stood by him in his years of public service.

Reflecting on his career and public life, Senator Oloriegbe reaffirmed his commitment to using his experience and influence to advance health reforms, strengthen community development, and promote good governance. “Every phase of life presents a new opportunity to renew one’s covenant with humanity. At 65, I remain even more committed to the service of our people, to the pursuit of policies that uplift the vulnerable, and to the vision of a nation where equity, compassion, and progress prevail,” he added.

The statement concluded with a prayer of gratitude to Allah for His mercies and a pledge to continue upholding the principles of humility, justice, and compassion that have guided his service over the years.
