The Nigerian contingent, composed exclusively of outstanding public school students from Kwara State, achieved the remarkable feat, underscoring the success of the state’s strategic education sector reforms.

The Nigerian team shook off the challenges posed by global contenders including China, Japan, India, South Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Pakistan, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Tajikistan, Cambodia, Brunei, and Taiwan, in their march to global excellence.

The victorious Nigerian team was led by the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KWSUBEB), Professor AbdulRaheem Adaramaja.

This remarkable achievement is being credited to the huge and strategic investment in education by the Kwara State Executive Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. The Governor’s reforms, which have focused on teacher welfare, infrastructure renewal, and curriculum enhancement, are proving successful in deepening access to quality education and strengthening the state’s human capital development.
