2027: Amofin Akogun Urges Kwara South Constituents to Make Informed Choices in Next Election

••• Cites Economic Hardship, Insecurity, and Deplorable Ganmo-Eruku Road as Consequences of Past Mistakes

Amofin Akogun Calls for Generational Change Ahead of Next General Elections

Amofin Titilope Akogun has called on the people of Irepodun, Ekiti, Oke Ero, and Isin Local Government Areas to make deliberate and informed choices in the next general elections, warning that poor representation has continued to hinder development across the constituency.

In a statement made available to newsmen, Akogun said the consequences of the 2023 elections have left many residents facing economic hardship, insecurity, and underdevelopment. He noted that effective representation would have empowered citizens, created employment opportunities, and attracted federal presence such as agencies and industrial investments to the area.

He expressed concern over the rising cases of kidnapping and banditry, linking them to poor infrastructure, particularly the Ganmo–Eruku Federal Road, which he described as deplorable and unsafe.

According to Akogun, improved representation would stimulate local economic activities, keep artisans gainfully employed, reduce rural to urban migration, and restore confidence in governance.

He urged constituents not to repeat past mistakes but to embrace new leadership capable of delivering meaningful development.

“The eba we have been eating is becoming sour,” he said, stressing the need for collective action to secure a better future.

Akogun reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people at the House of Representatives in Abuja, assuring them of purposeful and people-centred leadership.
