Honourable Oladipo Olushola Amos, the Councillor representing Omu-Aran Ward III in the Irepodun Local Government Legislative Council, has been commended after successfully launching a Food Support Programme for over 200 aged persons and widows in his constituency.

The maiden edition of the initiative, held at Awosowoye Hall, Odo-Oro Compound, Omu-aran, provided essential food items to vulnerable members of the community, aiming to cushion the effects of the current economic climate.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Oladipo clarified that the gesture was primarily a food support program rather than a typical empowerment scheme, designed to assist those who may no longer have the strength to engage in strenuous labor.

Kwara never had it this good before the coming of Gov AbdulRazaq, Hon. Oladipo stated.

He also commended the Irepodun Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Azeez Tinuola Yakubu, for his support and for taking the local government to a new level.

Amos pledged that as a grassroots politician, he and his team would continue to ensure that government empowerment flows directly back to the community while expressing hope to make the initiative continuous, perhaps yearly or bi-annually.

Speaking also, Hon. Azeez Tinuola Yakubu, Irepodun LG Chairman lauded Hon. Oladipo for stepping up the game and standing out exceptionally among other councillors.
