Senator Mustapha Excited As 103 Scholarship Beneficiaries Matriculate at UNILORIN

Senator Saliu Mustapha of Kwara Central has expressed excitement following the successful matriculation of 103 students from his scholarship programme at the University of Ilorin.

These newly matriculated students are among the 300 indigent students who were recently awarded full scholarships by the Senator for this year’s academic session.

In a statement issued by his media assistant, Nasif Sholagberu, the Senator described the development as a fulfillment of his commitment to supporting education and empowering young people across his constituency.

He said that seeing the students formally admitted into the university has further encouraged him to continue supporting education and human capital development.

Senator Mustapha however congratulated the beneficiaries on their matriculation and urged them to remain focused, disciplined and committed to academic excellence.

Addressing the scholarship beneficiaries shortly after the matriculation ceremony, the Dean of Student Affairs, university of Ilorin, Dr. Morenikeji Alex Akanmu commended Senator Saliu Mustapha for what he described as a rare and impactful intervention.

He noted that the scholarship has opened doors for many students who might otherwise have been denied university education due to financial constraints.

Dr. Akanmu congratulated the students and appealed to them to justify the investment made in them by remaining dedicated to their studies and upholding good conduct.

Also speaking, the Secretary of the Scholarship Committee, Comrade Ahmed Yakub Ishowo, congratulated the beneficiaries and encouraged them to take full advantage of the opportunity.

One of the beneficiaries, Abdulhamid Abdulbasit, a student of the Department of Agriculture from Ilorin West Local Government Area, expressed gratitude to the Senator for the life-changing support.

He described the scholarship as a dream come true and pledged to remain committed to his studies.

Similarly, Olohunlelesan Kabirah, a Zoology student from Asa Local Government Area, thanked Senator Mustapha for restoring hope to indigent students and promised to make him proud through academic excellence.
