The Senator representing Kwara North Senatorial District, Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, has extended warm and heartfelt Christmas greetings to Christians across Kwara North, Kwara State, and Nigeria at large, as they commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.
Identifying with the Christian faithful, Senator Sadiq acknowledged Christmas as a sacred season of love, peace, and renewed hope for humanity, as well as a call to selfless service, compassion, and unity among people of all backgrounds.
“Christmas reminds us of the enduring values of love, humility, forgiveness, and peaceful coexistence. These virtues are fundamental to building a just, united, and prosperous society, especially at a time when our nation yearns for healing, understanding, and collective progress,” he said.
The Senator commended Christians across Kwara North and beyond for their consistent prayers for peace, stability, and national cohesion, as well as their invaluable contributions to community development, moral upbringing, and nation-building.
He reaffirmed his commitment to people-oriented representation, inclusive governance, and policies that promote peace, social harmony, and sustainable development across Kwara North Senatorial District. He emphasized that, regardless of religious or ethnic differences, Nigerians share a common destiny anchored on unity, mutual respect, and shared responsibility.
“As we celebrate this joyous season, I urge us all to extend love to the less privileged, strengthen the bonds that unite us, and continue to pray for the peace and progress of Kwara State and our dear country, Nigeria,” the Senator added.
