•• Olusin of Isanlu-Isin Lauds Focus on Sustainable Development As Party Leaders Passed Vote of Confidence

The Member representing Isin Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Environment at the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdulrazaq Omotosho Bellumi, has raised the bar of Empowerment in Isin through the Bellumi Empowerment Program (BEP) 2025, an initiative that provided advanced vocational tools, cash grants, and scholarships to hundreds of constituents.
The event, held at All Saints Anglican Primary School, Oke-onigbin, on Friday, featured the distribution of valuable items, including: Sewing Machine, Hair Dryer, Carpentry Tools Box, Make Up Tools Box, Electrician Tools Box, Mechanic Tools Box, Haircut tools Box, Aluminium Cutting Machine, Photography Gadgets, Sprayer and farm inputs, Cash Empowerment to hundreds of constituents and Scholarship to indigent Students.
Hon. Femi Adeyemi, Committee Chairman of the Bellumi Empowerment Program (BEP) in his remarks noted that in the history of Isin, the BEP 2025 stands out from every other empowerment initiative from the past.

He Explain that past empowerment used to be in political form where people are being asked to just bring names and once material is distributed to them majority end up selling it because they have no requisite knowledge or experience in using the tools.
In our part for this particular Empowerment, we ensured the right people are empowered by making it possible for Community Development from different towns that constitute Isin LGA to be captured after a careful based selection process, He said.
He added that they take cognizance of youths who are less previligded and who have passion for the handwork they picked interest in learning.
Hon. Femi disclosed that all beneficiaries were also subjected to 6 months training to further broaden their knowledge gab after which they were examined to determine their fitness in the chosen specialization.
These and more he said are what make this particular Empowerment different from others while extending appreciation to the sponsors, Hon. Bellumi for thinking outside box to come up with the initiative.
On his part, Hon. Abdulrazaq Omotosho Bellumi, extended gratitude to stakeholders for gracing the event while also appreciating the committee for a wonderful job done.

Corroborating what the committee Chairman said, he noted that beneficiaries were sorted from all across the wards and towns in Isin LG in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure inclusiveness.


He noted that one of the reasons why this particular Empowerment is also different is that they have ensured that all those to be empowered are matched with the right items needed for them to make impacts with their skillset which is a total difference from how it’s been done from the past.
Hon Bellumi added that all beneficiaries are selected across wards, towns and development associations in collaboration with ward Chairmen, community leaders among others to ensure transparency adding that women support group, other nonspeaking indigines were also carried along.
He attributed his stewardship to the Governor of Kwara State, HE AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq who he said has been a source of inspiration and support for him.
He explained that as part of his achievements he has been able to fix solar panels across with no community left behind in Isin adding that as part of his empowerment initiative, he has been able to secure plots of land for no fewer than 12 persons, in addition to over 100 young persons who have been selected for the Empowerment.
Other achievements he reeled out is that currently no fewer than 6 students are currently enjoying free education courtesy his intervention.
He hinted at construction of a pavillion as a support towards institutionalising the strong relationship between the house and the traditional rulers which he said will go along way in adding colour to major events and boost the cultural values of Isin LG.
Hon.Bellumi seized the opportunity to congratulate the beneficiaries on the successful completion of their trainings while urging them to make best use of the opportunity judiciously.
Speaking, Kwara APC Chairman Prince Sunday Fagbemi lauded Hon Bellumi for following the footsteps of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Gov AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in executing people’s oriented projects.

He thanked the Lawmaker for equalising with the people ensuring dividends of democracy is well felt across divides. Fagbemi noted that the Government of APC has brought a lot of goodwill to the people through provision of self sustainable opportunities which is far different from past government who commmernise tokens as means of survival for the people.
HRM Oba Solomon Olugbenga Oloyede, the Olusin of Isanlu-Isin and Chairman of the Isin Traditional Rulers, in his remarks recalled during the last electioneering period when Hon. Bellumi and himself were petitioned in the court by some people. He noted that seeing such people now trooping into the same camp with Hon. Bellumi shows he has performed beyond expectations and he’s very proud of him.

He added that under the present Government, Isin LGA hasn’t been left behind in her share of dividends of democracy while calling on people to keep supporting and offer prayers for the Govt for the betterment of all.
Honorable Benjamin Lanre Jolayemi, Isin LG Chairman, expressed satisfaction with Hon. Bellumi’s empowerment acknowledging that he has raised the bar higher than what it used to be. He commended the uniqueness of the Empowerment drawn from the facts all beneficiaries were carefully selected, trained and given all necessary skillsets that he said will go along way in them valuing the Empowerment tools and using it for the right purpose.

HRH Oba Ajibola Ademola Julius (Amuludun Iluyomade 1st), Olusin of Ijara-Isin, further solidified the empowerment initiative by offering opportunities for the beneficiaries to put into test the use of thier tools and knowledge gained with many selected to carry out their first deals with full financial backings.

APC Isin Chairman and Vice Chairperson in their various goodwill messages commended Hon Bellumi for the unprecedented empowerment initiative while passing vote of confidence on him.
Beneficiaries in turn expressed gratitude to Hon. Bellumi for the lifetime opportunities promising to make judicious use of the Empowerment tools.
