Member representing Irepodun Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Business, Innovation, Industry and Women Affairs, Hon. Shola Odetundun, has congratulated His Royal Majesty, the Alaran of Arandun, Oba Ibikunle Olapade Adekanye, on the occasion of his 80th birthday and 25 years on the throne.
In a congratulatory message issued by his Media Team, Hon. Odetundun described the double celebration as a moment of thanksgiving and reflection on a reign distinguished by wisdom, peace, and purposeful leadership.
“Your Royal Majesty’s 25 years on the throne have been marked by uncommon humility, fatherly guidance, and unwavering commitment to unity and development in Arandun and across Irepodun land,” the lawmaker said.
He noted that attaining the age of 80 is a rare divine blessing, adding that the monarch’s reign has remained a source of pride, inspiration, and stability for the people.
Hon. Odetundun commended the Alaran for his consistent promotion of peace, preservation of cultural heritage, and support for community development, describing the palace as a symbol of harmony and progress. He also acknowledged the monarch’s encouragement of youth empowerment, women inclusion, and grassroots initiatives aligned with the constituency’s development goals.
The lawmaker prayed for continued good health, divine wisdom, and long life for the revered monarch.
“May the Almighty God grant Kabiesi many more years in strength and sound health, and may his reign continue to usher in peace, prosperity, and progress for Arandun and the entire Irepodun Local Government,” he said.
He concluded by wishing the people of Arandun a joyous celebration and urged them to continue supporting the traditional institution as a pillar of unity and development.
