AMOFIN AKOGUN DOING IT DIFFERENTLY WITH LESS NOISE IN KWARA SOUTH – THE 2025 BTA Foundation SUCCESS STORY

“Our 2025 empowerment programs stand as our token of gratitude to God, and we are fulfilled knowing it has been accepted,” — BTA Foundation Boss

The BTA Foundation established in June 2017 by the Omu Aran born Lawyer and Philanthropist; Amofin Joseph Titilope popularly known as Amofin Akogun has established itself as an organization of impacts since its inception.

A Vision encapsulated in establishing young people, teaching them how to be fishermen instead of just being given fishes. A channel of blessings to many, bringing dreams to realities, reviving hopes in our Communities without considering political affiliations and wiping away tears in our generation.

The BTA Foundation started 2025 on Education & Youth Development

In January 2025, we started with “Igi Iwe 2025” Educational Initiative: The Foundation unveiled its annual Igi Iwe (“Tree of Knowledge”) program as an educational intervention for 2025.

This includes support for students through scholarships, distribution of educational materials, and facilitation of exam preparation tips and support around the 7 LGAs of Irepodun, Ekiti, Isin, Oke Ero, Offa, Ifelodun, and Oyun LGAs respectively.

Plans included providing 151 free JAMB forms and 5,000 exercise books, plus support for registrations, preparatory lessons, in the southern part of Kwara State, helping remove financial barriers to education.

It further added Mentorship and Exam Encouragement by publicly urging Igi Iwe beneficiaries to aim for high scores in the JAMB 2025 exams, promising full tuition fee for any Jambite that scored beyond 300 in their exams.

Mr David Ayomiposi Adewumi who scored 321 in Jamb was granted full scholarship and N328,000 was paid as his full tuition fee at University of Ilorin, Kwara State, where he is currently studying medicine.

In May 2025, in commemoration of 2025 Children’s day, 80 indigent pupils were selected in different schools around Irepodun, Ekiti, Oke Ero and Isin LGAs and their school fees were paid to set off the financial burdens of parents and encourage academic growth.

Entrepreneurship & Economic Empowerment

In July 2025, the Foundation commenced its “Online Banking 2025” Grassroots Business Support

A flagship empowerment scheme aimed at aspiring small business owners. Initially serving 50 beneficiaries, the number was increased to 80 due to high demand.

Beneficiaries receive:
✅A POS (Moniepoint) terminal to conduct business transactions.
✅A start-up grant of ₦25,000.
✅Operational training and opportunity for increased capital after three months based on performance.

Weekly POS & Cash Grant Presentations

The Foundation actively rolled out the program in batches across communities (e.g., Ekiti LGA, Isin, Oke Ero LGAs respectively, while Irepodun LGA being the highest beneficiaries are next.

Providing POS terminals and startup funds to beneficiaries had helped deepen economic impact and community reach and has created a path for many to start on a small scale towards earning daily income.

Social Welfare & Family Support

We started “Help A Family Support Initiative (2025)”

This intervention initiative targets food insecurity and basic needs among vulnerable families within Kwara South’s 7 Local Government Areas.

Families most in need are identified (“Family of the Month”) and receive:
✅Raw food packages.
✅Cash assistance to support basic living needs.
The effort aims for sustainable support for the most affected families around us.

Ramadan Packages: The Foundation also embarked on multiple food stuff distribution around our Federal Constituency to cushion the effects of food shortages and high food prices in our communities.

Broader Vision & Future Plans for 2026

Expansion & Future Empowerment Goals

Beyond 2025 program successes, the Foundation has signaled plans to expand initiatives for graduates, artisans, and small-scale entrepreneurs, including larger grants aimed at scaling businesses and increasing economic participation.

In 2026,

We urge our people to look out for the following:

✅Omo Oloore 2026: This is poised to support lots of market women, widows and young entrepreneurs

✅Big 4 Conference: This would be a Youth Engagement and Conferences to share our thoughts, vision, inspire leadership and community involvement.

These we will continue to pursue based on available resources and opportunities as God grants us the grace for fufilment.
