In a serene and peaceful environment, on Monday 29th December 2025, Oke Ero Youth Assembly held her first annual general meeting in Iloffa the headquarters of Oke Ero Local Government which drew youths of different groups and body coming together in unity for the same purpose.
The event tagged “Unity For Common Purpose” was put together by the association to engage all youths across Oke Ero to brainstorm on the challenges, pressing issues and possible solutions to solving all the problems for youth development in Oke Ero.
In his opening remarks president of the association Prince Olaifa Johnson Muyiwa welcomed the participants to the gathering and charged them to stay united, focused, committed and keep the fire burning in other to make the voices of youths in Oke Ero being heard and make difference in youth development.
Aslo speaking Hon Cee Mike Olusona while giving a brief about the association encouraged the youths to be service-driven leadership work effortlessly and ensure that the change begins with them. He also said the association was birthed to change the face of youth development and bring pivotal change to the society at large and provide opportunities for the youths.
Representative from the Ministry of youth, Hon Adewumi Adekunle James commended the leadership of the association, coming up with this brilliant and commendable move at this time he enjoyed them not to allow politics divide or separate them, be innovative and emphasized the importance of focus discipline and collaboration in building sustainable future.
Participants at the event also lend their voices on the need to remain committed and channel their energy towards meaningful community impact rather than political interest. They also applauded the laudable effort and promised to play their part in moving Oke Ero to greater height.
