
Member representing Ilorin East Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Arinola Fatimah Lawal, has announced the construction of solar-powered motorized boreholes in Abudu Village, Apado Ward, and Mubo Face 2, Aree 1, within Ilorin East Local Government Area.
The water projects were executed under the 2025 Grassroots Development Project, with the aim of providing sustainable access to safe, clean, and potable water for residents of the benefiting communities.
According to the Lawmaker in a statement received by 9japarrot Media, the initiative recognizes water as a critical component of public health, economic productivity, and overall sustainable development.
She noted that the intervention aligns with the people-oriented vision and developmental agenda of the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, which prioritizes inclusive growth and the deliberate extension of democratic dividends to grassroots communities across the state.
Hon. Lawal further explained that the project reflects the administration’s commitment to ensuring that no community is left behind in the collective pursuit of progress and improved living standards in Kwara State.
The lawmaker expressed profound appreciation to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his unwavering support and leadership, which she said made the successful delivery of the projects possible.
She commended the governor’s consistent focus on improving the welfare of citizens, particularly at the grassroots, through impactful and life-changing interventions.
She also urged members of the beneficiary communities to take full ownership of the borehole facilities by ensuring their proper use, maintenance, and protection. According to her, responsible community stewardship is essential to guaranteeing the sustainability and long-term benefits of development projects of this nature.
