The Kwara State Government has commended the Abibakr As-Sidiq Philanthropic Home for its sustained commitment to supporting orphaned and vulnerable children across the state.
The Commissioner for Social Development, Dr. Nnafatima Imam, gave the commendation while speaking at the foundation’s close-up and empowerment programme held in Ilorin. She described the initiative as laudable and in line with the ministry’s mandate on child protection, youth empowerment and poverty reduction.
Dr. Imam assured the foundation of the state government’s willingness to collaborate on future interventions, including skills acquisition programmes, mentorship and psychosocial support for beneficiaries.
She further called on philanthropists and corporate organisations to complement government efforts by supporting initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the less privileged in society.
