Hon. Abdullahi Halidu Danbaba: A Record of Service, Substance, and Sustained Impact

In a time when leadership is judged by results, Hon. Abdullahi Halidu DanBaba, Member representing Kaiama/Kemanji/Wajibe Constituency and Chairman of the House Standing Committee on Lands, Housing and Urban Development, has built a record defined by consistent service and people-centered impact.

From the Kwara State House of Assembly to the grassroots, his philosophy remains clear: representation must deliver real value. Over the years, Hon. DanBaba has facilitated education support, youth empowerment programmes, cash empowerment for women and youths, and employment opportunities for constituents in federal, state, and local government institutions. He has also played a key role in expanding access to electricity, including the connection of communities to the national grid, boosting economic activity and security.

Recently, he has consolidated these efforts with the delivery of solar-powered streetlights in Kaiama and Kemanji, improving safety and night-time commerce, as well as the provision of motorised and hand-pump boreholes across Kaiama, Kemanji, and Wajibe, easing access to clean water and improving public health.

Beyond projects, Hon. DanBaba has distinguished himself as a strong legislative voice, sponsoring bills and moving over 30 motions of public importance on issues ranging from rural security and sanitation to electricity improvement and environmental sustainability. His role as committee chairman has further strengthened policy oversight in critical sectors of urban development and housing.

Widely regarded as accessible and responsive, he enjoys strong support from community leaders, youths, and women groups across the constituency. As he approaches the final phase of his term, Hon. Abdullahi Halidu DanBaba remains committed to putting the people first, with more interventions underway and a legacy already visible in empowered youths, improved infrastructure, and stronger communities.
