MOK Foundation Unveils 2026 JAMB Scholarship for 1,000 Kwara Students Days After 300 WAEC Awards

The Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has announced the launch of its 2026 JAMB Scholarship Programme, aimed at empowering 1,000 brilliant but underprivileged students across Kwara State to overcome financial barriers in accessing tertiary education.

The announcement follows the foundation’s successful 2026 WAEC Scholarship initiative, in which 300 secondary school students from across the state received support to cover their West African Senior School Certificate Examination fees. The WAEC intervention, launched earlier this year in Offa, marked a significant expansion of the foundation’s educational reach.

Building on that momentum, the 2026 JAMB Scholarship is designed to assist outstanding students preparing for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board examination, a crucial gateway to university, polytechnic, or college admission.

According to the scholarship flier released by the foundation, eligible applicants must present a valid O’Level result (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) or an SS3 result signed and stamped by their school to qualify for consideration.

Speaking on the initiative, the Director of the foundation Saheed Lawal said the programme reflects the founder’s enduring commitment to education and youth empowerment.

“The MOK Foundation remains unwavering in its belief that no talented student should be denied opportunity due to financial hardship,” the statement read. “Our 2026 JAMB Scholarship builds on the success of the 300-student WAEC support. It expands access further up the academic ladder, ensuring continued educational advancement for students across the state.”

Interested candidates are invited to visit the foundation’s office at No. 157, Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Offa, or contact the designated phone lines for more information and application procedures.

Since its inception, the MOK Foundation has consistently invested in educational interventions that nurture human capital and support young scholars. The recent WAEC scholarship distribution which saw 300 students receive exam fee support across Kwara’s three senatorial districts — has been widely described by community leaders, educators and parents as a “timely and impactful programme” that removed financial barriers for many families.

Education stakeholders have praised the foundation’s expanded intervention, noting that linking WAEC support with JAMB assistance creates a continuum of educational opportunity, helping students progress from secondary school completion into successful tertiary education access.

The 2026 JAMB Scholarship initiative is expected to further strengthen the foundation’s role in expanding access to quality education and contributing to long-term social and economic transformation in Kwara State.
