BTA Foundation Unveils Igi Iwe 2026

••• Set to Sponsor 500 JAMBITES

The BTA Foundation has officially unveiled its activities for 2026, following a highly impactful 2025 outreach, under its flagship annual educational initiative tagged “Igi Iwe” (The Education Tree).

The Igi Iwe 2026 programme is set to sponsor 500 JAMB UTME registration forms and offer FULL TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS to outstanding candidates who score 300 and above in the 2026 JAMB examination.

This announcement was made by the President of the Foundation, Barrister Titilope Emmanuel Joseph (Amofin Akogun), who confirmed a major scale-up of the initiative from 151 beneficiaries in 2025 to a remarkable 500 beneficiaries in 2026.

Since its establishment in 2017, the Igi Iwe programme has remained a pillar of educational support, contributing meaningfully to student development and the education sector. As of 2025, the Foundation has sponsored over 394 students across various levels of education.

The initiative targets brilliant but indigent students, offering them opportunities to access quality education, while exceptional performers continue to receive support up to university level. According to the Foundation President, education remains a critical pathway to opportunity, empowerment, and long-term financial freedom.

“No child from Irepodun, Ekiti, Isin, and Oke Ero Local Government Areas should be denied access to education because of financial limitations,” he affirmed.
