••• Announces Free Radio Coaching; Promises Special Rewards to Top 10 Scorers

The Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has hit a historic milestone in its educational intervention series, providing free JAMB (UTME) registration to 1,000 brilliant but indigent students across Kwara State.
The 2026 JAMB scholarship flag off exercise held on Thursday at the MOK Foundation office in Offa, marks a significant expansion from previous years.
9japarrot reports that the foundation started with 200 beneficiaries in 2024 and 400 in 2025, more than doubling its reach this year to meet the growing economic needs of the community.
Speaking at the event, Executive Director of the Foundation, Saheed Lawal Temitope, emphasized that the Foundation is a non-governmental organization centered purely on humanity, regardless of religious or political affiliations.

He noted that the JAMB Scholarship is part of the education intervention organised by the foundation citing that the number of beneficiaries which started in 2004 with 200 beneficiaries has increased to 400 in 2025 and now 1000 in 2026.
“When you see people doing good, it is often dismissed as ‘politically motivated.’ But even if it were, you have to earn the belief of the people by using your personal resources for years consistently. We started small, and by God’s grace, it has grown big.” He said.
He added that the Foundation isn’t just paying fees; it is producing top-tier talent.
The Executive Director recalled that in the first edition, one of the foundation’s beneficiaries emerged as one of the best five students in Kwara State, scoring 343. Last year, over 20 beneficiaries scored above 300, with many now studying Medicine and Engineering in various Nigerian universities, He added.
As part of the 2026 Incentive to drive excellence, Mr Temitope announced that this year’s Top 10 Scorers among the 1,000 beneficiaries will receive excellent rewards and significant awards to further support their university education.

He also announced that the foundation will sponsor free JAMB coaching programmes on radio stations across Kwara State to further support candidates preparing for the examination.
According to him, the radio coaching sessions will be facilitated by Mr. Aderemi Oladepo Abdulwakel, a renowned educator known for teaching Mathematics and Physics in the Yoruba language, to ensure wider understanding and inclusion.
The event featured technical guidance and mentorship from leading educators, Alhaji Kazeem Kadiri Chairman, ANCOPSS, Oyun LG who urged students not to take the opportunity for granted.

“MOK can register you, but MOK will not read for you. You must justify this investment to encourage other wealthy individuals to give.” He said.
On his part, Aderemi Oladepo (Director of Yoruba in Mathematics) provided success tips and academic guidance to the beneficiaries during the presentation, urging beneficiaries to focus on what they are capable of studying and not to be influenced by peer groups.

Speaking on behalf of beneficiaries, Ambali Zainab Omotayo recounted how financial constraints almost ended her dreams of higher education before the MOK intervention.

Salaudeen Nimotallahi a beneficiary from Ansaru Islam Ilorin urged her fellow beneficiaries to pass in flying colors to honor the Founder’s generosity.

Abdulwasiu Abubakar, Offa Grammar School and Idris Taoheed Alhaji a beneficiary from Ansarudeen Islamic High School, Epe also delivered their heartfelt votes of thanks to the Foundation noting that the intervention was indeed timely and commendable.
