
In a major boost for Nigeria–Türkiye Economic Relations, the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TOBB (The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye), the apex organised private sector body representing numerous Turkish businesses.
The agreement was signed today, 12th February 2026, at the Rixos Tersane Resort, Istanbul, during a high-level engagement between the Nigerian delegation led by the National President of NACCIMA, Engr. (Dr) Jani Ibrahim, mni, OON, and the leadership of TOBB, represented by the Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Mustafa Bayburtlu, alongside board members.
Coming on the heels of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent visit to Türkiye, this strategic MoU positions the organised private sector at the forefront of deepening bilateral trade, unlocking investment flows, facilitating technology transfer, and expanding market access for businesses in both countries.
This partnership is expected to catalyse new trade corridors, strengthen SME collaboration, and accelerate industrial and export-driven growth between Nigeria and Türkiye.
