The Member representing Irepodun Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Business Innovation, Industry and Women Affairs, Hon. Shola Odetundun, extends his congratulations to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Kwara State on the successful conduct of the Ward, Local Government, and State Congresses, which concluded on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Hon. Odetundun commended the peaceful, orderly, and transparent manner in which the congresses were conducted, describing the process as a strong demonstration of the Party’s internal democracy, discipline, unity, and political maturity in Kwara State.
The lawmaker also specially commended the Leader of the APC in Kwara State, His Excellency, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who also serves as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, for his exemplary leadership and statesmanship. He noted that the Governor’s inclusive approach to governance and firm commitment to party cohesion have continued to strengthen the APC’s structure and electoral successes across the state.
Hon. Odetundun further congratulated the State Chairman, Prince Sunday Adeniran Fagbemi, and members of the State Executive Committee on their reaffirmation and renewed mandate to continue leading the Party. He stated that this vote of confidence reflects the trust and satisfaction of party members in their leadership, stewardship, and dedication to the progressive ideals of the APC.
Odetundun also extended his congratulations to the newly inaugurated Local Government and Ward Executives, emphasizing that the vitality and endurance of any political party are firmly rooted in its grassroots structures. He urged them to uphold unity of purpose, internal harmony, discipline, and a spirit of service as they undertake the responsibilities entrusted to them.
The legislator observed that the Party’s cohesion and successive electoral successes in the state have been sustained through purposeful governance and the collective resolve of its leaders and members. He stressed the importance of consolidating on these gains as the Party prepares for forthcoming primaries and the 2027 general elections.
“As we move forward, we must remain united, steadfast, and guided by our shared progressive vision and the overriding interest of Kwara State. With unity of purpose and collective commitment, we will continue to strengthen our Party and deliver meaningful democratic dividends to our people,” he stated.
He concluded by praying for wisdom, strength, and continued success for the State, Local Government, and Ward Executives as they work diligently to advance the Party’s vision and deepen its impact across Kwara State.
