•• Says Governance is Not Just About Money, It’s About Systems Design and Capacity as He Unveils Kwara Prosperity Agenda

A leading gubernatorial aspirant and APC Chieftain, Prof. Wale Sulaiman (CON), has officially unveiled his strategic blueprint for the state, tagged the “Kwara State Prosperity Agenda.”
Addressing a diverse cross-section of the Fourth Estate, including the Association of Kwara State Online Media Practitioners (ASKOMP), at his Tanke residence in Ilorin on Saturday, the world-renowned neurosurgeon outlined a vision centered on upward mobility, economic rigour, and institutional continuity.
In a personal segment of his address, Prof. Sulaiman used his own life journey rising from a humble background in the “ghetto” to becoming a global authority in neurosurgery as a template for what his administration intends to achieve for Kwara’s youth.
“I am a product of good governance and education. It was because of the opportunity I had that a kid from the ghetto could become one of the most renowned neurosurgeons in the world. I dream of a Kwara where the child of a nobody can become somebody,where qualification and training, not ‘connection,’ determine your ability to thrive.” He said.
According to him the “Prosperity Agenda” is anchored on the principle that the state must transition from governance by discretion to governance by rigorous administration.
He highlighted that is blue print will centered on Job Creation which will involves a multi-sectoral approach targeting agriculture, mineral resources, and tourism to absorb the state’s teeming youth population.
The renowned global neurosurgeon added that through his international partnership he’ll leverage his global network to bring in resources that complement federal allocations and Internal Generated Revenue (IGR).
Speaking on Education, he said his administration will have a full commitment to the educational sector, encouraging Kwara students to tap into federal initiatives like the Student Loan Scheme.
On his insecurity, he highlighted that he’ll tackle the root causes of insecurity by providing economic safety nets and non-kinetic”social interventions.
Prof. Sulaiman seized the platform to express his strong alignment with the #RenewedHope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the amazing job done by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
He emphasized that the challenges facing the state are enormous and require a leader with the administrative training and international respect to sustain the current developmental trajectory.
“You would not hire a CEO to run your company without rigorous requirements, governance should be no different he remarked adding that politics must move beyond just money to a focus on what a leader can actually do for the people.
He urged Kwarans to demand more from those seeking the state’s highest office, insisting that the next phase of governance must be handled by those with the capacity to handle rigorous economic indices and global partnerships.
