•• Founder, QS Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, Reaffirms Commitment to Serving Humanity

The Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has commenced the distribution of food packages to over 3,000 families across Offa Local Government Area in a powerful demonstration of its mission to alleviate hunger and provide succor during difficult economic times.

The exercise, which kicked off on Sunday strategically timed to support both Muslim and Christian faithful during the holy months of Ramadan and Lent.

Monitored by 9japarrot media, the atmosphere at the MOK Foundation Office was one of order and gratitude, as security personnel worked alongside foundation volunteers to ensure a seamless accreditation and collection process.

Leading the presentation to beneficiaries, the Executive Director of the MOK Foundation, Mr. Saheed Lawal Temitope who spoke on behalf of the Founder, QS Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) emphasized that the foundation views the exercise not as an act of charity, but as a duty to humanity.

“Our Founder, QS Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, believes that no family should have to worry about their next meal, especially during these sacred times of spiritual reflection. We understand the current economic realities, and this intervention is our way of standing in the gap” He said.

Mr. Temitope added that whether being a Muslim or a Christian, the mission of the foundation is to ensure that the burden of hunger is lifted from as many homes as possible in Offa.

He added that while the foundation remain committed to sustainable empowerment, it must first ensure that the people are fed and healthy.

The distribution, which featured essential food items carefully packaged for household sustenance, drew emotional responses from the beneficiaries.

Many praised the foundation for the transparency of the accreditation process and the inclusivity of the selection.

“We have seen many distributions, but the MOK Foundation is different because they truly care about our dignity. With the way prices of food are going up, this package is a huge relief for my family. We can now break our fast and feed our children without fear, a beneficiary said while praying that God continues to bless QS Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode for always remembering the poor.

Another beneficiary noted the importance of the cross-faith reach, acknowledging that he was surprised to be called for accreditation.

It shows this foundation doesn’t look at religion, they only look at who is in need. During this Lenten season, this gift has brought joy to my house. We are very grateful, He said.

To avoid the chaos often associated with large-scale distributions, the foundation engaged a robust security team who ensured the exercise went seamlessly with beneficiaries lined up in an orderly fashion, reflecting the core values of the organization.

The Executive Director, Saheed Lawal Temitope, assured the public that the foundation would continue to monitor the impact of its interventions and scale up its efforts to cover more vulnerable segments of the society.
