2027: Hon. Kolade Olaoluwa Declares for Share/Oke-ode State Constituency at KWHA

The race for the Share/Oke-Ode State Constituency seat in the Kwara State House of Assembly gained significant momentum on Wednesday as Hon. Kolade Olaoluwa, popularly known as “Uncle,” officially declared his intention to contest the 2027 election under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The declaration, made during a strategic stakeholders’ engagement saw the aspirant outlining a vision centered on effective representation and a needful administration that prioritizes the welfare of the constituency.

Addressing party leaders and community representatives, Hon. Olaoluwa emphasized that his mission is to provide a voice for the constituency that has long been yearned for.

“I am standing here today to ask for your support as I run for the House of Assembly. My goal is to do what is right and needful to ensure the best administration of all time, ensuring equal distribution of dividends of democracy”

He assured party faithfuls of readiness to represent the constituency well protecting their interests.

Beyond his declaration, the aspirant expressed deep concern over the current INEC registration exercise, noting a low turnout among party members. He urged stakeholders to mobilize en masse to ensure every supporter is equipped with a voter card ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The PDP leadership in Oro-Ago Ward threw their weight behind the aspirant, praising his decision to consult with the local party structure before taking his campaign further.

On his part, Hon. James Dada, PDP Chairman, Oro-Ago Ward noted that it is good to see a man who knows his duty and obligations, referencing that many claim to be contesting but haven’t informed the grassroots.

“Hon. Kolade knows our value. Let us bring our hands together to put a righteous person in the right place to end our suffering.” He said.

Adding his voice, Hon. Yinka Afolayan, PDP Secretary, Oro-Ago Ward, said they have known the aspirant for years and know what he can do, solidifying their trust and belief in his capacity to deliver.

“This is the beginning of winning for us. Let us not support the wrong person and spend another four years in regret. He has shown he values us by calling us first.” He added buttering the Chairman’s statement.

The gathering featured deliberations on the party’s strategy to reclaim the Share/Oke-Ode seat with stakeholders noting that Hon. Olaoluwa’s long-standing relationship with the community and his “Uncle” brand of accessibility make him a strong contender in the upcoming primary and general elections.

The event ended with a call for unity within the PDP fold to ensure a formidable front against the ruling party in the state.
