
The Deputy Senate Leader, Oyelola Ashiru, has extended warm Eid-el-Fitr greetings to Muslims across Kwara South, Kwara State, and Nigeria at large, as the holy month of Ramadan comes to an end.
In his message, Senator Ashiru described Ramadan as a sacred period marked by deep spiritual reflection, fasting, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to Allah.
He noted that the discipline and self-restraint observed during the month serve as powerful reminders of the values of perseverance, compassion, and humility.
The lawmaker urged the Muslim faithful not to abandon the virtues cultivated during Ramadan, emphasizing the need to sustain acts of kindness, generosity, and forgiveness in their daily lives.
He called on Nigerians to use the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr to strengthen bonds of unity, promote peaceful coexistence, and extend love to one another, regardless of differences.
Senator Ashiru further encouraged citizens to remain steadfast in the face of challenges, noting that the lessons of patience and perseverance learned during fasting are essential in building a stronger and more resilient society.
He prayed that Allah accepts the sacrifices, supplications, and acts of worship of the faithful, and grants the nation continued peace, progress, and prosperity.
“May this Eid bring renewed hope, joy, and abundant blessings to every home,” he added.
