A direct call to every APC women from ward to national level- to rise,
push, and claim what belongs to them.
The APC is Nigeria’s largest political party. It governs the federal centre, it governs Kwara State, and it carries the weight of a promise -the Renewed Hope Agenda that puts women’s inclusion at the heart of a better Nigeria. The time to make good on that promise is not in speeches. It is in the primary halls, in the delegate rooms, and in the choices that determine whose name appears on the ballot.
Giving women the opportunity to represent the party at the National
Assembly is not charity. It is strategy. It is vision. It is, frankly, good politics.
“_A party that fights for women earns the loyalty of women — and women are the most powerful mobilisers in any election._”
The APC’s support base in Kwara is held together, in large part, by women —the market women, the ward-level mobilisers, the mothers who campaign quietly but vote loudly. When the party gives a woman the ticket, it sends those women a message that has no monetary equivalent: you matter here. Your loyalty is seen. Your daughters have a future in this party. That message translates into expanded support, deeper grassroots penetration, and votes the party could never buy.
Beyond the party, the advantage to Kwara’s women is immeasurable. Female APC representative at the National Assembly becomes a legislative champion for the issues that define their daily lives- education, healthcare, market access, security, and social protection.
She becomes proof, visible and undeniable, that the system can work for them too.
So this is a direct and urgent call to every APC woman leader from
the ward to the national level: push for this. Use your voice, your platform, your position. The party listens to its own. Make the party listen now. The seat is available. The candidate is ready. The moment will not wait.
