APC Likeminds Rallies Support for Bolarinwa’s 2027 Governorship Aspiration

The Ifelodun Chapter of the Likeminds group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) has hosted a high-profile political gathering aimed at mobilizing grassroots and elite support for the governorship aspiration of Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa (popularly known as BOB) ahead of the 2027 Kwara State gubernatorial election.

The event, which attracted party stakeholders, community leaders, political associates, and supporters from across Kwara State and beyond, served as a strategic platform to highlight the leadership qualities and achievements of the aspirant, while also strengthening political alliances within the party.

Delivering the welcome address, Alhaji Tajudeen Balogun described BOB as a beacon of hope and progress for Kwara South and the state at large. He emphasized that Bolarinwa’s leadership capacity and political experience position him as a transformative figure capable of driving meaningful development across all sectors.

“Hon. BOB represents a shining light for Kwara South, and that light will undoubtedly illuminate the entire state,” Balogun stated. “His vision, commitment, and track record speak volumes about what he can achieve if given the opportunity to serve at a higher level.”

Balogun also used the opportunity to warmly welcome dignitaries and stakeholders who attended the event from different parts of the state and outside Kwara, noting that their presence reflected the growing support and acceptance of BOB’s aspiration across political and geographical divides.

In his goodwill message, the Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Jubril Emilagba, commended the organizers for putting together what he described as a purposeful and forward-looking gathering. Drawing from his experience in governance, Emilagba spoke extensively on the leadership qualities of Bolarinwa, describing him as a tested and trusted figure in public service.

He highlighted several developmental projects and initiatives that Bolarinwa had been associated with over the years, noting that his contributions have had lasting impacts on communities and governance structures. According to him, BOB has consistently demonstrated competence, reliability, and the ability to deliver results.

“From my experience and what I have seen over the years, Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa is a leader with proven capacity. He is someone people can trust in different aspects of governance and development,” Emilagba said.

He further stressed that Bolarinwa’s aspiration goes beyond personal ambition, describing it as a reflection of the collective will of the people who desire a government that is responsive, inclusive, and development-driven.

According to Emilagba, “The Kwara mandate in 2027 should strongly be for BOB. He is not just another candidate; he represents continuity, capacity, and credibility. His vision aligns with the aspirations of the people for a government that listens, delivers, and uplifts every community.”

The event also featured interactions among stakeholders, reaffirming commitments to unity within the party and collective efforts toward achieving electoral success in the forthcoming gubernatorial race.

Observers at the gathering noted that the increasing support for Bolarinwa’s aspiration signals a growing momentum within the APC, particularly among grassroots mobilizers and political influencers.

As the 2027 governorship race gradually takes shape, political activities such as this are expected to intensify, with aspirants and their supporters engaging more actively with citizens to present their visions for the future of Kwara State.

The Likeminds Ifelodun Chapter reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining advocacy and mobilization efforts in support of BOB, expressing confidence that continued engagement and collaboration would translate into widespread acceptance and eventual electoral victory.
