A frontline aspirant for the Ekiti/Isin/Irepodun/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency, Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Adejoke Mistura Adeyemi, has extended her warmest greetings to the constituents as Christian faithful across the globe observe Good Friday, marking the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and His ultimate sacrifice for humanity.
In a statement issued through her media office on Friday, the Yeyeluwa of Oke-Onigbin described Good Friday as a day that serves as the foundation of hope and the greatest demonstration of love known to man.
Hon. Adejoke Adeyemi urged Christians within the four local governments of the constituency to look beyond the solemnity of the day and embrace the transformative power of the sacrifice made on Calvary.
“Good Friday reminds us that there is no victory without sacrifice, and no dawn without the night,” the statement read.
“As we reflect on the passion of Christ, let us be reminded that our current challenges as a people are but stepping stones to a greater glory. Just as the cross preceded the resurrection, our collective endurance will surely lead to a season of renewed hope and prosperity for our constituency.” She added.
Drawing from the virtues of Christ, the aspirant called on all Kwarans to prioritize the well-being of their neighbors and foster an environment of peace and mutual support.
“The essence of this day is selflessness. I appeal to all our brothers and sisters to let the love of Christ reflect in our daily interactions. Let us reach out to the less privileged and remain united in our quest for a better and more developed Ekiti/Isin/Irepodun/Oke-Ero. Our strength lies in our unity and our faith in a brighter tomorrow,” the statement added.
