NICO Boss, Otunba Biodun Ajiboye Congratulates Oloro of Oro on Elevation to First-Class Monarch

The Executive Secretary/CEO, National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Otunba Biodun Ajiboye has congratulated His Royal Majesty, Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye Titiloye Olufayo II JP, the Oloro of Oro Kingdom on his elevation
to the status of a First-Class Monarch in Kwara State.

In a congratulatory message issued through his media team on Sunday, Otunba Ajiboye described the elevation as a divine validation of Oloro’s visionary leadership and the long-standing historical significance of the Oro Kingdom in the socio-cultural fabric of Kwara State and Nigeria at large.

The Muwagun of Oro Kingdom noted that the upgrade from Second-Class to First-Class status is a clear proof of the monarch’s dedication to the peace, unity, and progress of the eleven towns that make up the prominent Kingdom of Oro.

“This historic elevation is not just a personal victory for Kabiyesi, it is a monumental milestone for every son and daughter of Oro Kingdom. Since his ascension to the throne in November, 2024, Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye has consistently demonstrated a rare blend of modern professional insight and deep respect for our ancestral traditions. This First-Class Staff of Office is a well-deserved crown to his years of selfless service”, the statement said.

Otunba Ajiboye, a key figure in Nigeria’s cultural and media space lauded the Kwara State Governor, His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON) for his courage in addressing the long-standing yearnings of the people of Kwara South.

“I must specially commend our Governor for his sensitive and inclusive approach to traditional administration. By breaking the barriers to these elevations, the Governor has shown that he is a leader who values equity and respects the institutional dignity of our royal fathers. This legacy will be remembered for generations to come,” he added.

The Cultural ICON emphasized that the new status of Oloro will provide a stronger platform for the promotion of Oro’s unique cultural festivals and commercial heritage, while urging the people of the kingdom to rally behind the monarch to attract even greater development to the region.
