••• Pledges Absolute Equity Across Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency

Otunba Dr. Toba Oloyede has officially joined the race for the Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Oke-Ero Federal House of Representatives seat.
Branding himself as “Omo Mekunu” (a child of the common man), Dr. Oloyede during his declaration speech delivered a powerful narrative of rising from a humble background born to dedicated teacher parents to becoming a seasoned negotiator and relationship builder ready to represent the constituency in Abuja.
Dr. Oloyede’s declaration centered on his roots. The declaration speech obtained by 9japarrot captured how the UK based Philanthropist spoke with pride about his parents, who were not just educators but local philanthropists in Isin, Irepodun, Oke-Ero, and Ekiti, often paying school fees and feeding neighbors despite their modest means.
“I was not born into privilege. Everything I am today has the fingerprints of this constituency on it,” Dr. Oloyede said adding that his success belongs to every teacher, elder, and praying mother who believed that a child of the common man could amount to something great acknowledging his readiness to return that investment with interest.
A key pillar of his manifesto is a “lockstep” collaboration with the current administrations, where he lauded Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his infrastructure and security revolution in Kwara, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the Renewed Hope Agenda, pledging to draw inspiration from their successess.
9japarrot reports that he highlighted his performance plans through using his professional background to ensure the constituency is at the front of the queue for federal infrastructure, housing, and intervention funds.
On gricultural Transformation, he pledged of connecting local farmers to federal mechanized support and agro-interventions to turn harvests into lasting wealth, on Youth & Digital Empowerment he unveils his plans directly enroll graduates into federal entrepreneurship and job-creation schemes.
He also pledged to champion community policing structures to ensure farmers and traders can work without fear.
Addressing the delicate issue of zoning, Dr. Oloyede appealed for a focus on results and capacity. He argued that with the federal budget being restructured and major interventions being rolled out, the constituency cannot afford a learner or a placeholder in the next four years.
“Zoning tells you which community should produce the representative, but competency tells you if they can deliver. I pledge before God that resources will be distributed with absolute fairness across all four LGAs. No community will be left behind,” he said.
Dr. Oloyede promised a departure from election-season-only politics. He committed to Quarterly Town Halls, through holding account-giving sessions in Isin, Irepodun, Oke-Ero, and Ekiti, Open-Door Governance by ensuring his office and person remain reachable to the grassroots without protocol barriers and Equitable Resource Distribution through transparent system for constituency development funds.
Concluding his declaration, Oloyede appeal to the backbone of the constituency, the women, the struggling men, and the ambitious youths, describing his candidacy as a spiritual obligation.
“This land raised me when I was nothing. Now I rise to lift it. This is not politics; this is a debt of love I have come to repay. I am your son. I am your servant. I will not let you down,” he added.
