••• We’re Ready to Rescue Nigeria, Wrestle Power from APC, Says Asiwaju Moshood Shittu

The entire structure of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kwara State has officially collapsed into the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The merger, which took place on Monday at the ADC Party Secretariat in Basin, Ilorin, followed a direct instruction from the National Leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement and National Leader of the NNPP party, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Leading the defection was the National Coordinator of the Kwankwaso National Network (KNN) and Personal Assistant to Senator Kwankwaso, Asiwaju Moshood Shittu who noted that Nigerians are tired of the bad leadership of the ruling APC party which necessitated the coming together of all opposition parties for a common goal of voting them out of power.
Addressing a massive crowd of stakeholders and party faithful, Shittu revealed that he had formally resigned from the NNPP and picked up his ADC membership card at his ancestral ward, Shawo South East Ward in Offa on April 5th.
“This is an instruction from our national leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. The APC has failed Nigeria in every sector from food security to fuel prices,” Shittu added.
“Nigerians are coming together to rescue themselves, and the ADC is the only clear alternative that can defeat the ruling party in 2027.” He added.
Asiwaju Shittu added that with the way APC has rough handled the Nation with no any tangible results in all sectors, no any right thinking and patriotic Nigerians will ever queue to vote for them again.

The event saw the transition of the complete NNPP Kwara executive arm and key stakeholders, including; Atolagbe Mohammed Abdullahi (NNPP State Chairman), Alhaji Abdulwahab Imam Gambari (NNPP Senatorial Chairman, Kwara Central), Alhaji Banji Maruf (Offa LG Chairman and Chairman of all NNPP LG Chairmen), Alhaja Latifat Salihu Alata (North Central Zonal Youth Leader), Hajia Hafsat Bolarinwa (State Woman Leader), among

On his part, the NNPP State Chairman, Atolagbe Abdullahi, during his remarks noted that the new merger is committed to be people’s centric decision adding that although they observed the rally conducted by the PDP on Monday across Ilorin metropolis, urging them to wait for their own rally because they are not in anyway fidgeted.

“We will not only take over the Ilorin metropolis, we will take over all major towns and even the front of the Government House because we are committed to rescuing this state.” He added.
Receiving the new members, the ADC State Youth Coordinator, Hon. Abdulqadr Olarewaju Oba Aluko, delivered the opening remarks, describing the merger as a divine alignment that will no doubt rescue Nigerians from the shackles of APC’s bad leadership.

Other key figures who spoke at the event included Otunba Olamilekan Alabi (P.A. on Political Matters to former Kwara Governor), Hon. Ambali Zubair Babatunde (Former Ilorin West Speaker), and Hajia Maryam Uche, all resonating the merger’s commitment to a common goal of defeating the APC comes 2027.

The ADC leadership expressed immense joy at the quality of the defectors, noting that the “Kwankwasiyya” discipline and grassroots network would be a formidable asset in the 2027 general elections.
9japarrot reports that with the collapse of the NNPP into the ADC, the “Third Force” in Kwara politics has gained significant weight. By absorbing the Kwankwaso structure, the ADC has effectively eluded other minor parties to become a major contender alongside the APC and PDP.

Political observers are now watching to see how this National Directive from Kwankwaso will affect other states across the federation as preparations are in top gear ahead of the 2027 general election.
