••• Reaffirms His Global Outlook, Proven Capacity to Attract International Investment

The Kwara South Solidarity Movement (KSSM) has officially declared its support for the gubernatorial ambition of Honourable Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, PhD, describing him as a unifying and visionary leader capable of steering Kwara State toward inclusive growth and sustainable development.
In a communiqué issued on Tuesday, themed “Bridging Divides, Building the Future: A United Kwara Through Vision, Innovation, and Inclusive Leadership,” the group said its decision followed extensive consultations, grassroots engagements, and a critical assessment of the state’s socio-political and economic realities.
The movement, comprising stakeholders from all 81 wards in Kwara South with support across Kwara North and Kwara Central, emphasized the need for leadership that transcends sectional interests and fosters unity, equity, and progress.
KSSM described Bolarinwa as “a statesman of exceptional calibre,” highlighting his ability to harmonize the interests of the three senatorial districts while promoting balanced development across the state.
The group also underscored his experience in both legislative and executive arms of government, noting that such exposure equips him with the capacity to design and implement people-oriented policies, strengthen institutional coordination, and address governance challenges with practical solutions.
A key highlight of the endorsement was Bolarinwa’s Blue Ocean Initiative (BOI), which KSSM said aligns with its vision for economic expansion, innovation, and youth empowerment through the exploration of untapped opportunities.
On education, the movement stressed the importance of moral values, science, and technology as pillars of development, commending Bolarinwa’s commitment to ethical leadership and investment in STEM education to build a globally competitive workforce.
KSSM further noted that Bolarinwa’s global outlook and wide exposure position him to attract international partnerships, investments, and best practices that could transform Kwara into a hub of innovation and economic vitality.
The communiqué also praised his commitment to inclusive governance, particularly his focus on empowering women and youths through capacity building and active participation in decision-making processes.
As part of its resolutions, the group pledged to mobilize grassroots support across all local government areas, engage key stakeholders including traditional rulers and community leaders, and promote peaceful, issue-based political participation ahead of the 2027 elections.
“This endorsement is not just a statement of support, but a call to all Kwarans to embrace a future defined by competence, integrity, and inclusive leadership,” the communiqué read.
Reaffirming its stance, the Kwara South Solidarity Movement concluded that Bolarinwa represents the vision, experience, and leadership capacity required to move the state forward at a critical time in its history.
