Super Eagles goalkeeper Amas Obasogie has returned to Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Bendel Insurance, signing a one-year contract with the two-time league champions.

The Benin-based club confirmed the goalkeeper’s return on Monday via its official X account.

“Back where it all began. Former captain and Super Eagles goalkeeper Amas Obasogie returns and signs a one-year contract. Welcome home, Amas. The story continues,” the club posted.

The 26-year-old previously left Bendel Insurance in 2024 to join Ethiopian Premier League outfit Fasil Kenema Sport Club.

Obasogie most recently featured for Tanzanian Premier League side Singida Black Stars FC before making his return to the Nigerian top flight.

He was also part of the Super Eagles squad that won the bronze medal at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
