His Excellency,
The Governor of Kwara State,
Kwara State Government
Ilorin, Kwara State
Dear Sir,
I am writing to express my concern and frustration on behalf of the people of Kwara State, particularly the Kwara Southerners, regarding the prolonged delay in the completion of the Kwara State University (KWASU) Osi campus project. Despite numerous promises and assurances from your administration, the project remains unfinished, and academic activities have yet to commence.
Your Excellency, sir, in March 2022, your administration promised the state that the KWASU Osi campus would be completed within 8-10 months, yet the project uncompleted.
The KWASU Osi campus project was initiated several years ago, with the aim of expanding access to quality education in the state.
However, the project has been plagued by delays, and the completion date has been repeatedly pushed back. This has not only disappointed many prospective students but also wasted valuable resources and infrastructure.
I urge your administration to please provide a clear and specific timeline for the completion of the KWASU Osi campus project and the commencement of academic activities. The people of Kwara State, especially Kwara South, deserve to know when they can expect to benefit from this important institution.
A PROJECT IS A TASK THAT HAS A START TIME AND A FINISHED TIME
We request that you take immediate action to:
- Complete the construction of the campus buildings and infrastructure.
- Equip the campus with necessary facilities and resources.
- Appoint qualified staff and faculty members.
- Commence academic activities without further delay.
We believe that the completion of the KWASU Osi campus project will have a significant impact on the education sector in Kwara State, and we eagerly await your actions.
Sincerely,
Engr Ridwan Elemosho
