In a heartwarming display of generosity, former Special Assistant to Kwara Governor, Hon Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff, provided cash support to 200 youths and widows in the Asa Local Government Area.
The gesture was widely applauded by All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders, including Hon Yunus Oniboki, Hon Engr Abdulazeez Abdulganiy, Prof Adaramaja, and Barr Salman Jawondo, who attended the empowerment program at Asa Local Government Secretariat, Afon.
The stakeholders praised Gadaff’s commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and empowering the next generation of leaders.
In his address, Barr Salman Jawondo described Gadaff as a worthy ambassador of Asa local government, noting he is giving back to the society from opportunity created for him by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
While Hon Yunus Oniboki said the former Special Assistant has been consistent in his community interventions without holding public office.
The Lawmaker urged other Stakeholders enjoying government privileges to embrace Gadaff by giving back to the society.
Commissioner for Energy, SUBEB Chairman, Prof Adaramaja, Special Assistant Women Empowerment, Hon Razaq Lawal and other Stakeholders reiterated that Gadaff has continued to promote Isenlo agenda of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq across wards in Asa local government.
The 200 beneficiaries of the cash support include Youths, widows and vulnerable persons drawn from 17 wards in Asa Local Government got N50,000, N20,000 and N10,000 respectively.
The sponsor of the Empowerment Program, Hon Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff said the cash support aimed at appreciating Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for creating enabling environment for youth to add value in the APC administration.
Gadaff urged beneficiaries to use the money judiciously as well as support their business, promising to do more the people.
Dignitaries at occasion include Commissioner for Works, Abdulquawiy Olododo who represented Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, DG Salman Shagaya Foundation, Akanbi Oke, former KWARTMA Chairman, Kehinde Kale among others.
One of the beneficiaries, Rabiu Azeezat, widow from Oga-oja ward pour encomium on Gadaff for reaching to the vulnerable amidst the economic hardship in the country.
Rabiu Azeezat prayed that Almighty God will continue to bless and protect the sponsor as well as grant his heart desires.
