Azeez Yakubu/Abolude Campaign Train Moves To Ajase Ipo

The Azeez Yakubu/Abolude Campaign Council met with the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Ajase Ipo branch, to canvass support ahead the 21st September Kwara LG Polls while commending the LG Council for their developmental strides over the years.

Speaking on behalf of both unions, Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi commended the local government for its numerous projects in the area, including the recent installation of solar lights and provision of public utilities such as toilets.

Adeyemi stated that the unions do not seek monetary rewards but rather projects that would enhance their garages and improve the overall welfare of their members.

The unions’ endorsement is seen as a boost to the council’s efforts to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Ajase Ipo.

The APC Chairmanship candidate, Azeez Yakubu stated that the visit is a consultative one and assured the union of regular consultation in the future.

As part of his  campaign promise, the role of the artisans will be further enhanced under his regime, He added.

Elder Odeyemi and  spokesman of the union, Engr Rasak Oyetokun, promised to  mobilise their  members towards their civic responsibility. 

He praised the efforts of the APC candidate in the past and prayed for his success at the polls.

Similarly, the team also paid a visit to the Olupo of Ajase IPO to receive royal blessings and to seek guidance and support ahead of the forthcoming Local Government Area.
