Group Commends Senator Lola Ashiru’s Water Project Intervention

The Ekiti-Kwara Youth Navigators (EKYN), a community development organization, has praised Senator Lola Ashiru for his timely intervention in providing water projects for Ora Aiyegbaju and Araomi Opin communities in Ekiti-Kwara Local Government.¹ These communities have long struggled with access to clean water, and the project’s arrival is a welcome relief.

EKYN Secretary, Ogundele Raphael Kehinde, expressed gratitude to Senator Ashiru, noting that the water projects have brought hope to the affected communities. The organization also appealed to Senator Ashiru’s office to extend similar interventions to other communities in Ekiti Local Government facing similar challenges.

This isn’t the first time Senator Ashiru has demonstrated his commitment to community development. Previously, he facilitated the “Kwara South Digital Skills Training” empowerment program, benefiting over 500 youths and women from seven local governments in Kwara South. His efforts have been recognized by various youth associations, including the Kwara South Youth Development Organization and the Igbomina Youth Council.

Senator Ashiru, representing Kwara South Senatorial District, has been actively involved in various community development initiatives.² His dedication to the welfare of his constituents is evident in his legislative pursuits and empowerment programs.

As EKYN and other community organizations continue to advocate for improved living conditions, the appeal to Senator Ashiru’s office serves as a reminder of the ongoing need for support. With continued collaboration between community leaders and government representatives, communities like Ora Aiyegbaju and Araomi Opin can look forward to a brighter future.
