Delta State Police Command have arrested a young woman for throwing away her 10-month-old baby in the river
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe disclosed this in a statement sent to newsmen in Warri.
The Police spokesman said, “Here is a lady who threw her 10-month-old baby into the river.”
According to SP Edafe, “When I asked her why she did it, she said her friends and other women abuse and shame her that the child does not have a father, and that’s the reason she threw the baby away.”
SP Edafe said, ”thats not a justification for her action, but we should also be mindful of what we say to people.”
