Speaker of the 8th Kwara State House of Assembly, Prof. Ali Ahmad, has extended his wamest felicitations to Christian brethren in the state and beyond on the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebration, calling on brethren to use the opportunity of the birth of Jesus Christ to fervently observe prayers for a true leader that would provide genuine leadership for the state.
In a congratulatory statement on Tuesday by the spokesperson for his media office, Steve Makinde, the academia-turned-politician said the festive season should serve as a period to share love, kindness, and reflect on the past struggles and what the future holds for the citizenry.
He further emphasised the need for Kwarans, especially the brethren, to seek divine guidance for our leaders at the centre, and the state at large, adding that only true leadership can engender peace and prosperity for the state.
Professor Ali also extends his wishes to public servants and citizens in Kwara state and beyond, praying for a joyful, peaceful, and rejuventation to tackle and navigate the challenges of the new year.
As we celebrate the holidays and look forward to the new year, Professor Ali prayed God Almighty to grant us wisdom, strength,and courage to build a better Kwara for all.
He wishes Kwarans a merry Christmas and a happy holidays.
