
The Deputy Senate Leader and Senator representing Kwara South, Architect Oyelola Ashiru has reels out his achievements over the past 6 years while canvassing for support for President Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.
Senator Ashiru disclosed this on Sunday while speaking during Kwara South Stakeholders Interactive Meeting held at Avalon Hotel Offa.
His words: “The APC has demonstrated magnanimity at the Federal and State levels, rewarding our members with appointments such as; the honourable Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Deputy Senate Leader, Boards and Commissions Chairmen, Federal Commissioners and Special Advisers.

“To improve our presence at the Federal and State levels, it is imperative that we concentrate on strengthening the party’s grassroots structure”
Speaking on Kwara 2027 gubernatorial poll, Ashiru said the Senatorial district should be free to negotiate with Aspirant from any part of state in Kwara South’s interest.
According to him, As people of Kwara South, we should strive to position the District to be at liberty to discuss and negotiate with any candidate of our choice from any part of the state within the party come 2027.
The Senator said APC is DNA of people of the district, stating that the party should remain the platform to drive and achieve political aspirations.
“We therefore need to promote unity among party members and ensure we carry along all strata i.e. party elders, women and youths. We should ensure that the APC structure and popularity are sustained across all local government areas in Kwara South and State at large.”
Senator Ashiru said the interactive meeting also created a platform to present his scorecard and give feedback from Constituents.
He used the opportunity to canvass for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s vision for economic growth, youth empowerment, and infrastructural development.
“As esteemed leaders and opinion shapers in Kwara South,it is our collective responsibility to champion the Renewed Hope Agenda,as envisioned by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and promoted by our own Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq”he said .
The meeting was attended by Kwara APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, Prof Wale Sulaiman, Executive Secretary National Agricultural Land Development Authority, Hon. Cornelius Adebayo, Oloriewe Raheem Adedoyin, Community leaders and Party Stalwarts from seven local government areas in Kwara South.
