Niger Gov Suspends 3 Top Aides Over Incompetence

Niger State Governor, Mohamed Umaru Bago, has suspended three of his close aides with immediate effect, citing alleged incompetence.

The affected officials include his Chief of Staff, Abdullahi Usman Gbatamagi; Director General of Protocol, Abdullahi Yerima; and Chief Details.

The suspension was announced during the State Council meeting held at the Government House in Minna.

Sources revealed that the decision came as a shock to the suspended officials, who had recently accompanied the governor on official trips to Lagos and Abuja. The suspension is expected to last for one month.

Governor Bago directed the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Abubakar Usman, to promptly issue the suspension letters.
