Mojisola Meranda has officially stepped down as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly after just 49 days in office.
Her resignation follows a high-level meeting with embattled former Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, Lagos APC Chairman Cornelius Ojelabi, and the state’s Attorney General, Lawal Pedro.
The decision marks another twist in the ongoing leadership tussle within the Lagos Assembly.
