The microfinance bank, which has risen from the ashes of the defunct Omu-Aran Microfinance Bank, is poised to deliver excellence with its renewed vigor, visionary leadership, and management team.
Amofin Akogun, in a statement, congratulated the Olomu of Omu-Aran, the traditional council, the bank’s management, community leaders, and residents who supported the endeavor. He emphasized that the bank’s establishment is a collective victory and a testament to the Igbomina people’s industrious nature and determination to rise above challenges.
The statement reads;
“It is with immense pride, joy, and a deep sense of communal achievement that I, Amofin Akogun, President of the BTA Foundation, extend my heartfelt congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Oba AbdulRaheem Oladele Adeoti, Olomu Efon II, the Olomu of Omu-Aran and Custodian of Ogbo, as well as the entire Omu-Aran community, on the historic grand opening of the Olomu Aperan Microfinance Bank. This milestone is not just a triumph for Omu-Aran but a progress for Irepodun Local Government, Kwara South Senatorial District, and indeed, the entire Kwara State.
The establishment of Olomu Aperan Microfinance Bank is a significant chapter in our beloved city, an event that will be remembered as a turning point in our journey toward economic empowerment, infrastructural advancement, and sustainable development.
I join hands with every indigene, resident, and well-wisher of Omu-Aran to celebrate this feat, which stands as a spirit of unity, resilience, and enterprise that defines the Igbomina people. Let me seize this golden opportunity to commend every individual, every group, and every stakeholder who has played a role—big or small—in the continuous development of our cherished city. From community leaders to hardworking citizens, from visionary groups to committed partners, your unrelenting efforts have laid the foundation for the progress we witness today.
The opening of this bank is a collective victory, a reward for the sacrifices made, and a clarion call to do even more. To our well-meaning indigenes and partners in progress, I urge you to see this as an invitation to invest further in transformative projects that will uplift our community—be it in education, healthcare, agriculture, or technology. Together, we can build a legacy that future generations will inherit with pride.
I also call upon our officeholders, at all levels, to prioritize landmark projects that will catalyze unprecedented development in Omu-Aran. Let us dream big and act boldly to position our city not only as the most promising in Kwara South but as a pacesetter across Kwara State. The time is now to channel our resources and energies toward initiatives that will echo through time, ensuring that Omu-Aran remains a source of inspiration and a model of excellence.
The Olomu Aperan Microfinance Bank is, without a doubt, another feather in the cap of the Igbomina people—a symbol of our industrious nature and determination to rise above challenges. Rising from the ashes of the defunct Omu-Aran Microfinance Bank, this institution has been reborn with renewed vigor, visionary leadership, and a management team to deliver excellence.
I extend my deepest gratitude to all who have made this dream a reality—the traditional council, the bank’s management, community leaders, and every resident who has supported this endeavor. May Olomu Aperan Microfinance Bank prosper and serve as a catalyst for economic transformation in our land. Together, let us continue to build an Omu-Aran that our children and their children will be proud to call home.”
