Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has expressed his condolences to the St. John’s African Church Cathedral in Maraba, Ilorin, on the death of their Iyalode Chief, Mrs. Christiana Modupe Obayan.
The Governor’s sympathies come ahead of the funeral ceremonies for the late Christian leader, which will begin on Tuesday, August 15th, 2023 in Ilorin.
“On behalf of the people and government of Kwara State, the Governor joins the Christian community in mourning one of its prominent female leaders, whose remarkable qualities were admired by both the young and old. The tributes received after her passing affirm that she truly dedicated her life to serving her people and community – a remarkable legacy that will be cherished by future generations,” stated a Government House release on Friday.
“The Governor prays for her soul to rest in peace and offers comfort to all those mourning the loss of this exceptional community leader.”
